Hello Edong'a, Thanks for a very important question. What we mean by the difference between opportunities and outcomes is that everyone - no matter if rich or poor, girl or boy, urban or rural child - should have the same opportunity to live a successful live. This is different from outcomes because even if countries create "equality of opportunity" (many Europeans are quite good at it) people are still different in their talents, commitment and priorities. As a result some people have higher salaries than others which is perfectly ok as long as everyone had the same opportunity to become rich. Wolfgang
