Martin, I think I agree with all of the above. How often do you here that? Plenty more in IDS papers I've done that I think covers much of what you note too. Having spent a lot of time on this my conclusion is indeed the same as yours - time to dump the LIC/MIC threshold. You could come up with an alternative way of thinking on relative capacity to end poverty?
