I came here from Twitter, following the question "Where in the world is hospitalization least affordable?" and I was curious to see how the United States do with their private system compared to other countries (that have universal health coverage). Alas, only low-income (or former transition) countries are discussed. Would the "affordability of inpatient care for the poorest 20% of population" in the US be <1%?! How do countries with tax-financed UHC fare, such as the UK or Spain? What about compulsory insurance systems like in Germany? I understand that the blog draws upon a survey that was limited in scope, but still... (Unfortunately health care and related costs and protection schemes are concerning more societies than just the very poor.)
