A Juror Looks at the Quality of the DM2009 Projects

World Bank climate change specialist Kseniya Lvovsky was a juror for DM2009.  Here's what she had to say about the judging process and the quality of the finalists' projects in a new posting to the Bank's Development in a Changing Climate blog.  All very interesting, and authoritative, because Lvovsky is leading the Climate Change team in the Environmental Department of the World Bank that is overseeing the implementation of the Strategic Framework on Development and Climate Change.  She is also coordinating climate change-related activities across the  Bank.

74 ideas to save the planet still to be financed

Congratulations to all winners of the DM2009, great job! Wish you all good luck and success in taking the ideas to action.

Congratulations to the DM team and the donors for the great event. You're change makers!

Since there were 100 ideas to save the planet, and jurors have not grown tired of telling how difficult it was to choose only 26 to be financed, I'd suggest the following:

Publish a list with the 74 ideas to save the planet still to be financed, in the same way the winners were published, and circulate this list in the internet and among potential donors/sponsors. I am absolutely convinced that among these 74 ideas we will find projects that we CAN NOT AFFORD to let go and should not rest until making sure they got what they need to put their ideas into practice.
