Open Contest for Innovations in Energy

If you applied to the DM2005 competition on Livelihoods in a Sustainable Environment and the 2006 on Innovations in Water, Sanitation, and Energy Services for Poor People, you should take a look at this! The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and its partners are looking for new ways to respond to the energy challenges facing people in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region.  If you have an idea that will help improve energy access, promote renewable energy and energy efficiency, and contribute to sustainable economies in the LAC region, click here. Winning projects are eligible for up to US$200,000 in funding to implement over two years. Proposals must be submitted by May 15, 2009, and the winners will be announced in August. For more information, visit the IDB website at www.iadb.org/ideas.
