Skoll Awards Application Deadline Next Week!

I wanted to remind you that the application deadline for the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship are fast approaching - March 3, 2009.  In case you're not yet ready to apply, there is a second deadline on August 12.

Skoll looks for social entrepreneurs whose work has the potential for large-scale positive change in the areas of tolerance and human rights, health, environmental sustainability, peace and security, institutional responsibility, and economic and social equity.  Within these issues, they are particularly interested in applications from social entrepreneurs working in five critical sub-issue areas  – 

1. Climate change
2. Nuclear proliferation
3. Pandemics
4. Conflict in the Middle East
5. Water scarcity
