Sponsors Who Made DM2009 Happen

Development Marketplace couldn't happen without its sponsors, who donated nearly $5 million for this year's event.  Here they are, from left, at the Friday morning awards ceremony -- William Ehlers, team leader of the Global Environment Facility; Elwyn Grainer-Jones of the International Fund for Agricultural Development; Danish Ambassador to the U.S. Friss Arne Petersen; Warren Evans, World Bank Environment Director; and Sanjay Pradhan, Vice President of the World Bank Institute.

74 ideas to save the planet still to be financed

Congratulations to all winners of the DM2009, great job! Wish you all good luck and success in taking the ideas to action.

Congratulations to the DM team and the donors for the great event. You're change makers!

Since there were 100 ideas to save the planet, and jurors have not grown tired of telling how difficult it was to choose only 26 to be financed, I'd suggest the following:

Publish a list with the 74 ideas to save the planet still to be financed, in the same way the winners were published, and circulate this list in the internet and among potential donors/sponsors. I am absolutely convinced that among these 74 ideas we will find projects that we CAN NOT AFFORD to let go and should not rest until making sure they got what they need to put their ideas into practice.
