I am presently sitting at a meeting among OECS with Harriet Nanyojo, WB Education Specialist on Stepping Up Skills. The issue is that we continue to divorce entrepreneurship from the education system as if it were something to be caught outside of the formal system. There is need for providing skills for job creation. This would mean providing financial, collateral and business development support for young people. Then there is the issue of the market, its capacity - size and purchasing power. The smallness of the OECS individual markets remain a perennial issue; integration and regionalisation of the market loom as a viable option but the conversation has been protracted
