Mike, I wish I'd known you were going to be at BETT. Having exhibited and attended for many years, I could have let you into some of lesser known secrets. I actually prefer the Scottish Learning Festival (SLF) which is held each year in Glasgow in September. BETT is really a huge trade show with a bunch of seminars and stuff added on to give the impression it's about education. I gave up attending any of the seminars years ago because they were unashamedly peddling UK government, or quango policy. The SLF is a purposeful education conference, with interesting and knowledgable speakers from all over the world, but with a trade show attached. And by far the most fascinating piece of technology I saw that week...was not at BETT at all, but at a small company in Central London who do events.
