other SMS education initiatives
Since this blog post was published, I have heard back from representatives from a number of ministries of education who are rolling out, or contemplating, something similar to what is described above. At least anecdotally, then, the use of SMS in education systems appears to be an area where a lot will be happening in the next year or so. Please do continue to send it links to such initiatives (like this one in Oman, http://goo.gl/nuCJf); I'll gather them together and include them in a follow up blog post at some point.
