Great summary of one of this years hottest disruptive technologies. The article mentions a limitation of lack of broadband penetration. In many parts of the world, including Africa, I believe that the leapfrog technology of 3G and 4G mobile access will "leap over" the need for extensive deployment of broadband and in a much more cost effective and scalable manner, bring true high speed internet access directly to the unserved. When that happens, high access educational technologies will find a new home in the underdeveloped and developing world. The disruption to the normal non-scalable current educational model will have impacts beyond our understanding.
