Despite the bloodshed, it’s a new dawn and Sri Lankan's should make the most out of it. I think the first five years are very crucial for the long term prosperity of Sri Lanka. I understand there is a reason why politics and philanthropy are two different words in dictionary, but I hope the politician there Buckle up and do people work instead of squabbling on petty causes, at least initially. If a good foundation can be set early on, it would be very easy to follow through later. BTW, I hate centralized development models in developing countries. I wish donor could force the issue a bit more often. For example: contributing to establish a University at a rural area instead of favored suburb, which in turn will automatically bring economic growth in the area.
