Grace Anna Doherty

Disaster Risk Management Consultant
Grace Doherty is a Disaster Risk Management consultant with the Open Data for Resilience Initiative (OpenDRI) team at the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery. Grace dedicates herself to making risk information and geospatial data applications intuitive and accessible to all audiences, regardless of technical or linguistic background. In her work she focuses on best practices for teaching & training, communications, and research management for DRM.
 
Prior to joining GFDRR, Grace was a poverty and development researcher in rural Morocco. She holds a master’s degree in Geography and GIS from George Washington University. She also serves as a geospatial analyst with the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health and is an adjunct professor of geography.
