Renu Warnasuriya is a development communications expert specializing in education and training. Her experience in the development field includes posts at both local and international organizations, and Renu has served as a Communications Specialist for UNDP Sri Lanka and for the USAID funded Supporting Opportunities in Livelihoods Development (SOLID) Project. Renu specializes in conceptualizing and producing user friendly communications products and she has designed and produced one-of –a-kind training and awareness material that has been distributed widely in Sri Lanka. As an educator, Renu has worked on local education programs and has served as a teacher in underserviced areas in Sri Lanka. She is currently supporting Sri Lanka’s Early Childhood Development Project as an Education Consultant to the World Bank. Renu graduated from the University of Colombo, with a BA in International Relations. As a Fulbright Scholar she studied at Brandeis University in Boston, U.S.A. graduating with a Masters Degree in Sustainable International Development. Renu is an award winning journalist and feature writer.
