Martin Heger

Environmental Economist
Martin Philipp Heger is an Environmental Economist (YP) at the World Bank focusing on the Middle East and North Africa region by day. By night he is in the home stretch of his PhD in Environmental Economics at the London School of Economics. Prior to that he worked as a Research Analyst for the World Bank focusing on human development issues in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and a Statistician and Consultant Economist for UNDP focusing on food security, sustainability and equity. He has also worked for the European Commission, the UN secretariat, and an NGO in Panama early on in his career focusing on the challenges of natural disasters, and land use change to development.
