About us
This blog is maintained by four researchers from the Development Research Group of the World Bank. Its aim is to cover all things related to impact evaluations and evaluative research: new papers, planned or ongoing evaluations, methodological issues, and stories from people conducting evaluations around the world. In doing so, we hope that the blog will fill a niche and serve as a platform for serious discussion and be much more than a news aggregator for impact evaluations. The blog is aimed at both the end users and the practitioners of evaluation research. While many of the posts and discussions may center on the field of development economics (and be written from an economist's perspective), we will also be interested in evidence from other fields, particularly political science, sociology, psychology, and the biomedical sciences. We encourage all readers to not only participate in the discussions by commenting on blog posts, but also sending ideas and materials for blogs, as well as for guest blogging.
