• Different interventions are needed to get kids to learn in school than the ones that work in getting more kids to attend – that’s the message from a 3ie review of 75 education interventions according to a new blog post by Howard White.
• How to write a replication paper that journals will publish – the political science replication blog has some advice.
• As new semesters start, it is a shame that many people these days seem to restrict access to their syllabi through university portals, making it hard to see what is getting taught. So kudos to: (undergraduate courses) Richard Akresh, Paul Cichello (graduate courses) Aimee Chin, Debraj Ray, Dean Yang and (Kennedy School course) Asim, Rohini and Lant for putting their Fall 2013 development economics syllabi online.
