Open Data Initiative: a look at the past week
It's been a week since we launched the open data initiative and the feedback we've been receiving is truly amazing. Here's a tag cloud showing what the twitter community has been saying:
- 132,000+ daily unique visitors
- 134,000+ visits
- 671,000+ page views
- 53,000+ video plays from 100+ countries
- 7,000+ inbound links
- 23,000+ downloaded files
- 200+ email subscriptions
- 224% increase in visitors compared to old Data site section

Open Source software + World Bank Data = Information Visualized
I have not seen many articles on the subject, but the WorldBank Data API is very easy to use and quite extensive. See for example:
