About us
This weblog is a product of the Development Prospects Group at The World Bank. Prospects for Development provides regular commentary on the effect of global economic and financial developments on the domestic and regional landscapes of the developing world. The bloggers are drawn from the different units within our group, and posts address the broad range of topics that we're currently working on, including macroeconomic analysis, global commodity markets, international finance, and migration and remittances. Our Prospects Daily and Weekly, which report current data releases and major developments, are also disseminated through the site.
We aim to make the blog "community-friendly," in the sense that our posts hope to create and sustain conversations around global development topics. So please feel free to comment on posts as well as send us feedback. You can also learn more about the objectives of our blog from our Welcome post, and learn more about the people behind the blog from the Bloggers page.
