Here's a rough look at some of the best of the blogoshere regarding the ongoing tragedy in Haiti:
Haiti is the latest cause for Andrew Sullivan. Much like during last summer's Iranian protests, Sullivan has excellent links to first hand accounts via Twitter, blogs, and YouTube.
Another good firsthand Twitter source.
The New York Times has an extensive list of organizations accepting donations. The American Red Cross has a feature where donors can Text "HAITI" to "90999" to make a quick $10 donation.
Aidwatch has another excellent list of ways to donate, and highlights the challenges of aid distribution during natural disasters.
Members of the US congress are pushing for emergency legislation to allow undocumented Haitians to remain in the United States.
The United States may use the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base (not the prison part) to house Haitian refugees. The base is located a mere 200 miles from Port-au-Prince.
The World Bank has committed an additional $100 million to Haiti, in the form of a grant. It's offices in the Port au Prince suburbs were destroyed by the quake.
The latest from the UN headquarters.
