Valuing Peace
Peace is the logical solution to every illogical problem, you simply can't make people value logic when emotion is involved. Peace isn't a natural condition, no matter how admirable of an idea it is. This is a condition has never existed among humans, and will never likely exist. We would either need a menace from another planet to bring us together or brutal totalitarian regime that enforces peace with an iron fist, to create any sort of lasting peace among the varied people of this planet. While the first option could happen, it seems unlikely. The second option has been done successfully through various empires, but it is an all or nothing commitment to make it work globally. In the end, I see no way to make people value peace, unless it is fear of the alternative.
