If we look at humankind at
If we look at humankind at its most basic - caveman - we would find that foremost in his mind was peace, because without peace he would be too involved in protecting what was his - his family, his cave - to worry about anything else. Once he had peace, he would then be able to bring order into his life - stacking up mammoth skins for winter and so forth.
But, once it was dark and he was confined to the safety of the circle of light provided by his fire, he would look up at the stars and find the beginnings of spirituality, for he would see the vastness of the universe and recognize his smallness when compared with it.
A person without spirituality has moved no further than the cave.
