Social media in Mongolia

David,
thank you for this interesting question.
Social media has been evolving in Mongolia lately. Blogs and facebook are widely used, but mainly in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. So social media could be used as a complementary communication tool especially for urban area: districts and communities in the cities. But as of stakeholders and communities in rural area, we need to use classic communication tools such media, meetings and other public events etc.
Yes, you are right, quite many objectives. This shows the complexity of the reform although it is important and timely in Mongolia. Therefore we- the Bank team- try to help the country from early stage of the reform.
