We like to restart the Community Based Site and Service program in Indonesia. Anyone knows whether this is still viable and valid? Especially as the Private Developers are so active in the urban fringes . ... and so Gentrification problems.
We wonder how we can compete with the land speculation that is so rampant . How to control this? Policies to enable existing communities to join this Site and Service program thru Land COnsolidation mechanisms , etc. Mixing with rental and partial sales Or even start this as a national housing policy that will not stir political waves ( as the power structure are often Real Estate private Developers who might look at these scheme as a treat for their business? ).
