Improving climate resilience in cities

This page in:
Concerned about the impacts of climate change, cities are adopting green infrastructure to become more resilient.

An entry in a recent Action4Climate video competition, “Climate TV, City Climate” highlights some of the issues cities are facing and how green infrastructure solutions can help a city cope with increased heat and stormwater run-off.

Read more about how green roofs, green spaces and flood management systems can help cities like Rotterdam manage climate impacts, and how cities are innovating with renewable energy and resource management systems to yield major reductions in carbon emissions.

The Action4Climate competition was organized by Connect4Climate, the World Bank Group climate change communication program. More than 230 entries from young directors in 70 countries were received showing a new world of climate impacts, solutions and actions, addressing one of our generation’s greatest challenges.
