Adelle Pushparatnam is an Education Specialist in the Global Knowledge and Innovation unit of the Education Global Practice. Adelle has a PhD in Psychology (focusing on Early Childhood Development) from the University of Cambridge. Before joining the Bank, Adelle worked with children with autism, both in home and school settings. She has particular experience with parent-mediated interventions, where parents are coached on how to engage their children and develop their children’s communication skills. She also worked with Camfed, an international non-profit organization that focuses on girls’ education and young women’s empowerment in Africa.
