Aparajita Goyal is an economist at the World Bank. Her research focuses on microeconomic issues of development, with a particular emphasis on technological innovation in agriculture, access to markets, and intellectual property rights. Her research has been published in leading development journals, and has also been featured in popular press such as The Economist, Financial Express, Frontline, and others. She is the recipient of the Economic Club of Washington Research Fellowship and the Graduate Merit Award at the London School of Economics. She obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland in 2008.
