Arndt Reichert is an Economist in the Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) team within the Development Research Group at the World Bank and coordinator of DIME’s energy program. He is an applied (micro-) econometrician with interests in a relatively broad range of topics such as energy, environment, health, and labor economics. His recent articles have appeared in the Journal of Human Resources, Health Economics, and Journal of Economic Surveys, among others. Arndt’s current research involves investigating the economic impacts of investments in improved electricity supply to the industrial sector in Nepal and semi-urban as well as rural electrification in Argentina, Kenya, and Senegal. Before joining DIME, Arndt worked at the Rhine-Westphalia Institute for Economic Research (RWI) and as a lecturer at the Ruhr University of Bochum (RUB) in Germany. He holds a PhD in economics from RUB.
