Food Safety Specialist
Artavazd Hakobyan is a Food Safety Specialist in the Agriculture Global Practice and Global Food Safety Partnership, where he promotes public-private partnerships for food safety capacity building. He is the technical and operational lead to the Global Food Safety Partnership - a public-private partnership that supports improved food safety systems around the world as demonstrated by enhanced agri-food value chains and improved public health outcomes. Prior to this, he worked on agricultural and rural development projects in the World Bank’s Armenia country office, where, among other things, he helped promote agribusiness development and link farmers to markets. Artavazd holds a Master of International Business degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University.
