Artessa Saldivar-Sali
Resilience Engineering Specialist, World Bank
Artessa Saldivar-Sali is a Civil Engineer with expertise in urban environment as well as disaster risk management and was assessing government policy in these areas for the Office of the President of the Philippines, before joining the World Bank. She has provided engineering and technical expertise on urban environment, infrastructure and disaster risk management projects in the Philippines in both the public and private sectors. Artessa was also a faculty member for 3 years at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of the Philippines. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she holds Master's degrees in both Civil & Environmental Engineering and Building Technology (Sustainable Energy Systems). She walks to and from work every day, and her dream is to live in a city all her life.
