Aurora Ferrari is a Practice Manager in the Finance & Markets Global Practice for Europe and Central Asia and Middle east and North Africa countries. She covers a broad range of topics, from financial sector development to restructuring programs. In terms of bank restructuring, Aurora oversees the bank resolution programs in Ukraine, Moldova, Tunisia and Egypt, NPLs restructuring programs, and technical assistance on the implementation of new EU Bank Resolution Directive in EU member states and candidate countries. Prior to this, Aurora worked on financial sector development and crisis management/bank restructuring issues in Eastern Europe and South Asia. Before joining the World Bank, Aurora was an associate banker at the EBRD in the financial institution department where she worked on loan and equity investments in banks across Eastern Europe. Aurora holds a degree in Law (University of Parma) and an MA in international economics and relations (Johns Hopkins University).
