Gero Carletto
Senior Economist, Development Research Group, World Bank
Calogero (Gero) Carletto is a Senior Economist in the Development Research Group of the World Bank and Manager of the Living Standards Measurement Study – Integrated Surveys on Agriculture (LSMS-ISA) program. His research interests are in the areas of poverty, food security, and rural development, as well as data collection methods. A member of LSMS team, he has extensive experience in the design, implementation and analysis of household surveys. Prior to joining the Bank in 2000, he worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and various UN agencies. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
