Gracelin Baskaran is a consultant in the World Bank's Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment (MTI) & Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation (FCI) Global Practices. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining the Bank, she completed a Fulbright Fellowship in South Africa, consulted for the UK's Department for International Development and was an Honorary Research Fellow at the Human Sciences Research Council of South Africa. Her main professional and academic interests include natural resource management, financial inclusion, labor markets and political economy.
