Harold Alderman is a senior research fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute. He recently retired from the World Bank where he worked in the the Development Research Group and as Social Protection Adviser for the Africa Region, among other positions. With a master's degree in nutrition (Cornell) and a PhD in Economics (Harvard) his work has naturally gravitated to the economics of food policy and nutrition.
