Indu John-Abraham

Indu John-Abraham has been Resident Representative at the World Bank Office in Ecuador since 2013.  She began her career with the World Bank in 2003 as part of the Civil Society team under the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Unit for Latin America and the Caribbean. She later worked for the Poverty, Gender and Equality Unit.
Ms. Abraham has extensive experience in the Andean region, where she has collaborated with Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and other countries to support monitoring, oversight and evaluation systems.
Before joining the World Bank, Indu John-Abraham worked at Catholic Relief Services, leading education and community development initiatives in Armenia and the Dominican Republic and at the organization’s headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland (USA).  Indu John-Abraham has a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from George Washington University and a master’s degree in International Relations from John Hopkins University.
