Isis Gaddis
Economist
Isis Gaddis is an Economist with the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) team in Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania). Before joining the World Bank in 2012, she was a research associate with the development economics research group of the University of Goettingen in Germany, where she also just submitted her Ph.D. thesis. Her research interests are in the fields of labor economics, poverty and inequality analysis and public service delivery. She previously also worked as a consultant for development agencies in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and Egypt, primarily in the fields of poverty and welfare measurement, labor market policies, fiscal policy and statistical development. She holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Goettingen and has studied geographic information systems at Lund University in Sweden.
