Kavita Watsa is Senior Operations Officer for Health, East & Southern Africa at the World Bank. Her focus areas include Development Policy Operations (DPOs) and multisectoral or regional operations with an emphasis on human capital. She has most recently served as task team leader for the third programmatic Rwanda Human Capital for Inclusive Growth DPO. Before her current position, she was part of the Human Capital Project team, focusing on global strategy and country engagement. Prior to that, she worked on external affairs and corporate relations in the office of the World Bank’s Human Development Vice President, in the Education Global Practice, in the Africa Human Development department, and in the Development Economics department. Kavita has a Master’s in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
