Senior Health Policy & Research Adviser, Save the Children
Kirsten Mathieson is Senior Health Policy & Research Adviser with Save the Children. She is responsible for research, policy engagement and advocacy, with the aim of addressing health inequalities and promoting Universal Health Coverage. She leads Save the Children’s immunisation policy and advocacy work, delivering strategies, strengthening partnerships and engaging in policy debates to drive progress towards universal immunisation coverage. Kirsten previously worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN and UNDP in Kenya, working on gender, social equity, and health. She has an M.A. in development studies from the University of Rome and an Honours B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Her recent publications include Further, Faster, Fairer: Reaching Every Last Child with Immunisation and Halfway there: Delivering on the promise of immunisation for all.
