Health and Education Specialist, International Finance Corporation (IFC)

is currently a Health and Education Public-Private Partnership Specialist at the IFC. Laura joined the IFC from the World Bank's education team, where she had been working on SABER-Engaging the Private Sector on education, mapping the role of the non-state sector in education, to benchmark the policy intent, fidelity, implementation and dialogue and to examine private providers across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Laura joined the World Bank Group  from CfBT Education Trust  where she was responsible for overseeing the education impact of  their $200 million project portfolio. Prior to this she worked for McKinsey and Company in their Social Sector Practice. Laura has provided strategic advice to multiple donors including ADB, DFAT and DFID as well as governments across the Middle East and North Africa and Asia Pacific. She holds a MA in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from the University of Nottingham (U.K.).
