Lea Gimenez is a doctoral candidate from the Department of Economics at Lehigh University. Her dissertation work explores the effects of shocks (death, conflict, and pecuniary) on children’s well-being and human capital accumulation. She is also a World Bank consultant, working for the Economic Policy and Poverty Team of the South Asia Region on the poverty assessments for Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
