Liana manages the World Bank's global corporate social media efforts, including content strategy, social marketing and campaigns. She is passionate about the intersection of international development and emerging media, and has held previous roles as Director of Digital Marketing for a financial services tech startup in Nepal; Head of Public Relations for an international education nonprofit; and Operations Analyst for the World Bank's youth and gender programs in post-conflict East Africa. She began her career advocating on behalf of refugees and asylum seekers with the International Rescue Committee. Liana holds a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in International Relations from Georgetown University.
