Marie Chantal Messier was a Senior Nutrition Specialist for the Latin America and Caribbean region. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was Senior Associate for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in Geneva. She also worked as a Technical Expert in Micronutrient Nutrition for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Haiti. She is a Registered Dietitian and she holds an MBA from Université Laval as well as a B.Sc. in nutritional sciences from McGill University.
