Maryna Taran

Maryna is part of the Open Data Group and works on Financial Data and Client Services and Communications (CSC) teams. As part of the CSC team she works on a variety of outreach and communication activities and responds to the World Bank Data Helpdesk, making sure that the myriad of questions asked by our data users get answered or land in the hands of the right data experts. As a financial data specialist she coordinates with government officials to compile external debt figures published in the International Debt Statistics (previously, the Global Development Finance). Maryna joined the World Bank in November 2011 after completing a Masters in Public Communication program at American University in Washington DC, where she focused her research on the study of participatory communication in international development and the use of ICT4D.
