Mathijs van Ledden works on the GFDRR Innovation Lab team as a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist, funded by the Dutch government. He provides technical advice on the design, implementation, and communication of disaster risk assessments, and supports the ongoing development of Innovation Lab open-source tools and open data programs. Previously, Mathijs worked at Royal HaskoningDHV as a senior expert in flood risk reduction. Mathijs is a Dutch national and holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and Geosciences from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans. Mathijs is fluent in English and Dutch.
