Melissa Adelman is an Economist in the World Bank Group’s Education Global Practice, where she works on analytical and lending activities in Latin American and Caribbean countries. Her analytical work utilizes quantitative and qualitative research methods, impact evaluation, and other approaches to topics in primary and secondary education, as well as school to work transition and labor market issues. Prior to her current role, Melissa was in the Poverty unit in East Asia and the Pacific, where she worked on poverty measurement and human development and labor market issues. Melissa holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
