Miles is an analyst in the World Bank’s Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice. Prior to joining the Trade Facilitation team, his work focused on opportunities for economic growth and integration through global value chains, the role of standards in trade, and mainstreaming sustainability into private sector development. He also works closely with the World Bank Group’s Global Business Regulation team, among others, on agribusiness projects in Africa, South Asia, East Asia and the Pacific. His interests include the impact of trade facilitation on regional integration, cross-cutting linkages between trade and climate resilience, and the future of manufacturing. Miles holds an MSc in Global Energy and Climate Policy from the University of London, SOAS.
