Nandita Roy is a Communication Officer for the World Bank in India. She has several years of experience in the development sector and news reporting in business journalism.
She has authored a book The Wasteland: Making of Grassroots Leaders. The book is on grassroots change agents living in rural communities of Southern Rajasthan. The book was prescribed as mandatory reading in one of Delhi’s premier schools.
She has also helped launch one of India’s first community radio programs in some of the most backward and Maoist-prone districts of Jharkhand. She has also played a role in supporting Khabar Lahariya - a women’s community newspaper from Chitrakoot district (Uttar Pradesh).
