Nikos Mantzoufas has been Special Secretary of the PPP Unit in Greece since 2009. During this time, 11 PPP projects totaling €580 million have been signed.
Nikos Mantzoufas is president of the Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas (JESSICA) Investment Board in Greece for investments in sustainable development projects, amounting to €300 million. Prior to joining the PPP Unit, he worked at Bank of America in the investment banking division and at Grant Thornton leading the project finance division. Nikos Mantzoufas has participated as a financial advisor in a substantial number of PPPs in Greece. He has been a member of the working group of the Technical Chamber of Greece regarding PPPs and is member of the Steering Committee of the European PPP Expertise Centre (EPEC) of the European Investment Bank.
