Nupur Gupta

Senior Transport Specialist
Nupur Gupta is a Senior Transport Specialist with the World Bank working in the South Asia Region. She has been working extensively on urban transport engagements of the World Bank in India under the Sustainable Urban Transport Program and Efficient & Sustainable City Bus Services Project involving capacity building and investments in bus rapid transit systems (BRTS) in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Hubli-Dharwad and Naya Raipur, non-motorized transport (NMT) in Naya Raipur, Mysore, Hubli-Dharwad, Agra and Vrindavan and modernizing city bus systems across multiple Indian cities (Mysore, Indore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Mira-Bhayandar).   She has also been involved with a variety of transport engagements including India Port Sector Study, Grand Trunk Road Improvement Project, Andhra Pradesh State Road Project, Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor Project. Prior to joining the Bank in 2005, she worked with an infrastructure advisory group on a variety of metro and railway projects and regional development strategies.

Nupur graduated with a B.A. Honors (Economics) degree from Delhi University, has a Masters in Economics from Concordia University, Montreal, an M.B.A (Finance) from McGill University, Montreal, and is a Mason Fellow from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, with a Master in Public Administration.
