Senior Health Economist
Owen Smith is a Senior Health Economist in the Europe and Central Asia region of the World Bank, where he works on health financing, health policy, and other human development issues in the South Caucasus and new EU member states. Prior to joining the World Bank, he spent three years as a health economist at Abt Associates with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, and three years as a country economist at the Canadian Ministry of Finance working on East Asia. He studied economics and international development at Queen’s University and Harvard’s Kennedy School.
